ARE YOU ENCHANTMENTS CHILD?
In mystic glade I silent walk
Tread soft to hear the Faeries talk.
I hear the wind through ancient trees
The soothing rustle of dry leaves,
A songbirds chirp, a far off crow.
I feel so earthbound here below.
I wish to soar on falcons wings
The better to spot faerie rings
To ride the wind in silent flight
To see where faeries danced the night.
I wish for also eyes of owl
To search the dark when binsidhes howl
And know no harm can come to me
For circled round with light I'd be.
Protected, safe in magick cloak
I'd search through bog where toad doth croak.
Cross fields of fragrant flowers I'd stride.
Full moon won't let the faeries hide.
But hush! I hear the pipers play
The sidhe cannot be far away!
At edge of meadow quiet creep
Around a boulder slowly peek.
I see them dance, I see them reel
What privilege this, my heart doth feel.
I watch the faeries free and wild
And know I am Enchantments Child.
